A welcome to our new members!

A warmly welcome to ILEIA and the AgriCultures Network as new members of the More and Better. We look forward to strengthening our cooperation with them on issues of common concern, in 2013 and beyond. Both the organizations are pretty much in line with the work that More and Better has done so far and with our goals and principles. For those of you who do not know them yet, we are pleased to include here a brief description of what they do and how they concretly contribute to the fight against hunger and poverty.

ILEIA - Centre for Learning on sustainable agriculture is an independent organisation with the mandate to contribute to poverty alleviation through the promotion of agro-ecological approaches. It collects and disseminate information as a means of contributing to improving the development options available to farmers. Ileia is based in the Netherlands and also work as the secretariat of the AgriCultures Network.

In cooperation with its members all over the world (Brazil, China, India, Kenya, the Netherlands, Peru and Senegal), the AgriCultures Network shares knowledge and provides information on small-scale family farming and agroecology. It produces regional magazines and also a global magazine quarterly published (Farming Matters); the latest issue looks at world-wide approach to combat desertification with articles, opinions, cases and success stories.
